CREATING READY MADE CARDS FOR THE NEXT OCCASION

In my mind I try and imagine what more, what next, how can I use a My Bestie image this time?  Well today I thought about making the image smaller, changing the color and then making some blank stationary so that when I needed a quick card I would be ready.  You can purchase this image by clicking here

Not quite a 5 minute project, but for sure less than 30.  To get perfect placement for the actual card, I first printed an image for my template onto a piece of printer paper.  I secured the card panels one by one on top of the printed image, giving me perfect placement and then re-ran it through the printer.  I did not want the image to be in black so I changed the color to a shade of grey to give it a softer look.  I offset the image so that I will have room to add a sentiment later, a  few color blocks with some ribbon and just like that I have some ready made blank cards for the next the next occasion.

Thank you for stopping by the blog today and until next time enjoy

BUTTERFLY WISHES

It's a colorful world we live in and I like being able to share that through art.  My current Close To My Heart project was super fun to make because I could repeat with east.  For any of the products I have used make sure and click here to be taken to Heather Flaherty's website to place your order.

I love the using pigment ink because the color is so rich.  For this project I used Sorbet, Sweet Leaf, Canary and Juniper

The sentiments which I stamped on Vellum are from You're the Bomb Operation Smile stamp set

Using the Artbooking Cartridge I cut out an overlay at 3 inches from page 62.  The overlay's make a great disposable stencil.  The butterfly was cut at 2 inches.  I inked the butterfly with the coordinating color ink and cut a second butterfly from vellum

You can use the paper stencils just as you would any other stencil and if you use a thick enough paper you can use it multiple times before tossing it.  The Artbooking Cartridge has tons of great patterns

Once the Modeling Paste was dry I used a sponge to ink on the the color, added some twine, a gem and instant 4 cards are all done.  Super easy and fun to make a card set with a simple pattern.

Make sure you visit Heather's blog and I will see you next week for yet another project share

CTMH: SENDING MY LOVE

It's another CTMH Monday post....I design for the fabulous Heather Flaherty who is a consultant for the company, so whenever you want to place and order for any of the product you see in my post click here and you will be re-directed to her site, there you can also look at the catalog.  But for today's card I have to say where I stated is not where I intended to go...color wise that is...I have ideas in my head and then I find that when you mix - n- match things actually work for the good....I started with a piece of random washi in yellow which is my focus point

I used paper from the Heartstrings collection (X7193B) and the glitter paper which is so pretty.  I added some sequins just cause...but I wanted a little more sparkle.  The sentiment is from Lifting Spirits (C1570) clear stamp set...which I will add is super cute.  I stamped it on a strip of paper 3 times create another layer

Overall I think my simple little card is a great display of product and what you can do with just a little bit of supplies.  I cut the butterflies out with Martha Stewart punch and the scallop with a spellbinder border die.

I hope that you have an awesome week and will find sometime to "create something handmade"

CTMH: JUST SO SWEET

Hello, hello it's that time for yet another CTMH featured post.  It does not matter what day of the week it may be, a birth day card is always in order.  Heather Flaherty for whom I design for is an awesome consultant and when you are ready to place an order click here and she will promptly get your order sent.  One of my most favorite things to do is to mix and match paper along with using the fun sentiments that can be found in the CTMH stamp sets

The sentiment is from  Cricut Artiste Birthday Collection.  It's very bold and can imagine it being stamps in a variety of colors and it look amazing on projects.  The pattern paper comes from the Heartstrings (X7193B)

To add the texture I used and embossing folder from Darice

The bow will always be my favorite, it was cut at 3x4 from the Artiste Cartridge on page 55 and I just wrapped a strip of paper around the card to extend the tail.

I hope that you have been inspired and will create, create, create!!!

CTMH: PRETTY, PRETTY FLOWERS

Well took a little break because February is the birthday month in my house for my Son and I...Although he was due on the 18th which happens to be my day, he decided to come on the 7th...But needless to say we celebrate somewhat together.  So now that the celebrating is over let's resume the normal posting...and boy am I excited about this project.  I have always saw and wanted stamps that were separate so that I could stamp each piece and layer in different colors.  CTMH answered the call  and I got to design with Happy To Be Friends (C1605) and I used their pigment based inks.  For any of the products that I have used make sure you click here and you will be taken to Heather Flaherty's page where you can place your order.

For this card I used:  Canary; Sweet Leaf;  Glacier; Juniper and Crystal Blue

For this card I used:  Sweet Leaf; Sorbet; Smoothie; Pixie and Thistle

Stamping in white I also used the sentiments from the Happy To Be Friends (C1605) stamp set

I love how simple this card design is and the color options are endless.  Thank you so much for stopping by, here's to a great week.

CTMH: HUGS AND KISSES...REVISITED

Here we are, a nice sunny Monday here in Vegas and a post for Heather Flaherty, Close To My Heart Consultant.  A little sentiment goes along way when you are making cards.  I like being able to make simple combinations with a big impact from the sentiment.

For this card I am using the My Relfections Heartstrings (X7193B) paper collections along with Cranberry solid cardstock for the base of my A2 card.

The sentiment is a single stamp XOXO Occasions (M1054), I just adore this stamp and the font is perfect to dress up any card.  I stamped on Vellum and die cut it out with a circle die, placing a smaller white circle on the back to (1) help hold the string (2) to make the sentiment pop

I added the Shimmer Trim (Z3024) which to my surprise has a sticky back...bonus!!!  I have a thing for extra sparkle so I added some sequins in random spots

I hope that you have a wonderful week and that you find some time to add in some crafting to your schedule.

CTMH: HUGS AND KISSES

Hugs and Kisses....welcome to another post for my favorite Close To My Heart Consultant Heather Flaherty.  We are beginning the month of love and I wanted to continue to explore not only the new seasonal stamps by the company, but my obsession with shaker cards

I added a bit of a twist for this card and made my own back ground using water color paints and heat embossing, a technique referred to as emboss resist.  You stamp with Versa Color embossing ink and sprinkle with white embossing powder and heat.  Then when you go over the stamped image with any type of color the white pops through.  I used the stamp set called Doodled Designs Flair (A1170)

I wanted to use the sentiment  XOXO Occasions (M1054) and have it appear to be floating inside the circle

I love sparkle and shine and designing for Paper Craft Anonymous.  If you would like to purchase any of the stamps I used for this project please feel free to contact Heather on her website to place your order.

Thank you for stopping by

MY BESTIES: ANYTHING GOES WITH A BESTIES PRINTABLE/ADD A FLOWER

Challenge #3 on the My Besties Pretty Pre-Colored Printables Blog is underway and for me I have Valentine's Day on the brain, so I came up with a plan that will allow you the busy person to mass produce 12 cards in one shot.  So gather your paper, circle punch and favorite Washi Tape and lets get started.

These are the 1 inch bottle caps, 12 come to a sheet as shown above that can be purchased in the

I wanted to be able to make a clean and simple card that I could mass produce with ease.  I chose to use a A2 card as the base.  Then I cut a mat and then cut that mat in half diagonally.  Using a strip of Washi Tape I ran it along the edge and popped up the bottle cap as a center piece, stamping Happy Valentine's Day with black ink

You can make 12 cards with ease.  I used a 1 3/4 circle punch allowing me to have a white border around my image.

I hope that you have found some inspiration in my mass production idea using the bottle cap sheet from Sherri Baldy.  Don't forget to head over the My Besties team blog for more inspiration for challenge #3, we hope to see your entry for this challenge.

Thank you for stopping by

CTMH: SEEING STARS

Welcome to another post for Heather Flaherty of Paper Crafter Anonymous.  The products that she sent out this round for Close To My Heart are so simply amazing.  This stamps I used for this project are new stamp sets from the seasonal catalog; Doodled Designs Flair (A1170) and You're The Bomb which is a stamp set in support of Operation Smile.  For every stamp set purchased CTMH will donated $3.00 of the proceeds.

I am in love with sparkle and cute wording , so this stamp set was a perfect match

I made a pocket or a faux shaker style card.  Using my Xyron machine I ran a 2x2 piece of cardstock through to apply adhesive so that my sequence would stick, along with the acetate sheet.  Laying pretty colors on top of the white sticky cardstock,  I then took a piece of acetate and laid it on top securing things in place.  Using the Xyron makes things quick and easy and less mess.

I did a two part stamping, layering the wording on top of each other in different colors.  I love the monochromatic color scheme of these cards, and the simple star I cut using my Spellbinder Star Die.  To place your order for the stamps that I used click the link below and Heather will ship to you very quick:

CTMH: CAMERA LOVE

It's Monday and guess what?  It's time for another Close To My Heart Design Team project for
Heather Flaherty of Paper Crafters Anonymous
It's not February yet, but it's never to early to celebrate love, so I am sharing the love of the holiday with this cute little shaker card that I made using my trusty Cricut machine and the CTMH Artbooking cartridge

I focused on the center to make the shaker portion of the card. I used foam tape and placed it around the center building an enclosure for the sequence to stay in place.  Using a piece of acetate from an old package I use my spellbinder circle die to cut a circle bigger than the opening and adhered it in place

Because I wanted to have an even layer of adhesive for my layers on the heart and the camera base I used my Xyron machines, the Create A Sticker machine and the Xyron 510.  The sentiment is from the Holiday Tags Occasions Set (D1560)

I truly hope that you enjoy today's project and that when you are in the market to shop CTMH that you will click on the link and go to Paper Crafters Anonymous, Heather Flaherty is an awesome consultant and will ship your order right away.

Have a wonderful week,

xoxo
