MY BESTIES 3D TEAM: CHALLENGE #23 CHRISTMAS TREATS OR GIFT

Oh Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree...We are just days away from the holidays and there may be that last minute gift you are seeking to give to that special friend.  My Besties has a new challenge up on the our team blog and it's all about gifts and treats.  There are over 45 decoupage sheets for you to choose from in the shop, including the 2 I have used on my project Present Bestie and  the Mailbox, click the links to be taken to the shop

I made a gift using a picture frame, this will be a holiday keepsake to bring out each year to either sit on a table or hang near the stockings on the fireplace

3D sheets come pre-colored, so once they are printed you need to cut and assemble using a dimensional tape to add each layer

Holidays are so very fun and the team had a fun time putting together inspirational projects.  Please visit the blog for more ideas on how to use the My Besties 3D sheets and don't forget to sign up so that you can always know what the team has going on.  The challenge will run for the next 2 weeks so you have plenty of time to enter your project...

GROWING IN UNITY DAY 5, RECAP AND THE WINNER

My heart is over joyed by all the support and comments from all the people who came to support me this week..  Five days of doing what I just absolutely love and adore and I was able to do it with all of you....THANK YOU SO MUCH and thank you Angela Magnuson for living the dream and allowing me to be apart of it through your program Growing In Unity

For my final card I have used Oh Christmas Joy, designed by Angie Blom

I wanted to focus on the card and the image, so I stamped on a book page and used some distressing ink to showcase a part of the car..layering on top of another image.  I ran my image through my Xyron and sprinkled it with glitter and using my new favorite Simon Says Stamp stencil Falling Snow I created a background on top of the glitter

Fun paper from my stash, ribbon and a button, this card completes my week. Again thank you for stopping by each day to see what I have created, it has been a pleasure sharing with all of you

MY BESTIES INTERNATIONAL EVENT - TODAY LAS VEGAS

It is more than super, it's exciting to create for a designer who has touched the craft tables of so many around the world and to be apart of such a growing company like Sherri Baldy's My Besties.  I would like to take this time to thank Bonnie Kohane who I have the pleasure of working with on the 3D Decoupage Team for putting together this unique and creative event, she has gathered designers far and wide to display one of many images from the My Besties collection.  For the month of December check out the Besties Challenge Blog where a new designer will be featured December 1st- December 31st

The team that I represent is My Besties 3D Decoupage and for this event I was to create a vintage project.  I chose to use Millie Mae , which can be ordered by clicking the link.  The images come pre-colored with all layers to be cut and assembled.  I was partial to the purple and browns, my favorite color combinations

If you look at her dress you can see the sparkle, the great thing about using decoupage sheets you have layers to assemble.  Before I fully put her together, I ran a layer through the Xyron machine and added some glitter to her dress

With the addition of some distressed items, flowers, ribbon, snowflakes and jewels, I was pretty happy with how my vintage inspired card came out.

There will be 31 days of inspiration and opportunity to see how my teammates create, so check back often to get a glimpse at the images put on projects.

Thank you for stopping by and checking out my project

xoxo

CTMH: A LITTLE BIT OF THIS AND THAT

I think for the first time I am just trying so many different things for holiday crafting and having a lot of fun with the end result.  Welcome to today's post for Heather Flaherty, Close To My Heart Consultant.  I enjoy receiving product and having the freedom to create with such versatile product. If ever you see something that I make and you want to purchase the product click this link and it will take you straight to her blog Paper Crafter Anonymous

For my project today I used CTMH Washi Tape and the Artbooking Cricut Cartridge image from page 76 and cut the snowflake out at 9 inches on vellum paper.  I embossed with a Darice tiny dot border

Simple note cards are always fun to have when you need to send a quick note

I really love the contrast of these two tapes when paired together, the silver is translucent so I was able to layer them together and have the other tape peek through

With so many fantastic cuts on the cartridge it is always so hard to pick what to use.  I cut the snowflake on the left at 9 inches on a vellum paper, make sure and adjust your settings to accommodate the thinner paper

Thank you so much for stopping by Glittered Rose for another CTMH post and make sure you visit
Heather Flaherty, Paper Crafter Anonymous to place your order for all your product wishes.

MY BESTIES 3D TEAM: CHALLENGE #22 CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS, EASEL CARD, TAGS AND MORE

We are in the home stretch before Christmas is here, let the decorating begin.  Challenge #22 is all about My Besties decorations:  easel card, tag, just about anything that you can think of for your home, office or gift for that special someone.  The team has has used a variety of images and ideas hoping to get you in the holiday mood, so make sure and visit the team blog to see what the team has designed

I have chose to make an easel card using this little snow bunny, she will be making her way to the shop very soon, but you are more than welcome to visit and see all the other images available

The awesome thing about easel cards they are a great conversation piece because they can sit anywhere and can lay flat, well almost when you don't have a ton of embellishments on top...lol

I used some blinged out flowers and added a little paint for the snow effect

The sentiment is from a Amuse (now retired) Stamps

I thank you for stopping by my blog today and hope that you have been inspired into "creating something handmade"?  It really is the season of giving and when you make it by hand it just adds that extra special touch.  So until next time, make sure you stop by the team blog and enter into our challenge

xoxo

BONUS IDEA:  I love layers and I love glitter.  The 3d sheets come with all the needed layers to be cut and assembled, in this case for this sheet there were 4 layers, the base (1st layer) which is what I am working with for this tutorial.  I wanted to create a back ground, so I used my circle die from Spellbinder.  The trick to partial cutting is to cut the image and the part that you don't want to have cut needs to be on top for the die.  You have to maneuver the die in place as shown in photo #1.

CTMH: EVERYTHING THAT GLITTERS IS GOLD

What I love most about owning the Cricut Machine is the fact the CTMH has designed some of the most amazing cartridges with wonderful images to create my own embellishments.  Today is another post for Heather Flaherty, CTMH Consultant.  If ever you find that you have fell in love with anything that I have used on my project and want to make a purchase, hop on over to Paper Crafters Anonymous to place your order

For my card today I used the Artbooking Cartridge and cut the word joy from page 74, 4 times at 7 inches and glued each layer together to make a chunky word.  The last layer before gluing it I ran it through the Xyron machine and sprinkled it with Gold glitter....

I made a simple shaker card.  Taking my 2 inch circle punch, I punched the circle off to the left and behind it I used a tiny picture pocket and put some glitter inside and taped it in place.  Using foam tape I popped up the panel to give it the full shaker look.

This was a super easy card to make and I love how it turned out. Thank you so very much for stopping by the blog and don't forget to stop by Paper Crafter Anonymous Blog where you can view many other products and how they can be used to create.
Until next time have fun "creating something handmade"

MY BESTIES 3D TEAM: CHALLENGE #21 BELLS, BAUBLES AND BEADS

Deck the Halls...that is what she said.
Thank for stopping by another blog post for MY Besties 3D Team.  We are on a roll Challenge #21 and the year is not over yet.  As we enter into the busy month of Christmas the team and I are creating and sharing as much inspiration to each and everyone one of you.  If you have not checked lately please stop by the team blog and subscribe so that you will be notified of our current challenge and upcoming blog events.

For my project I have used Birthstone Besties.  She is a pre-colored image that when printed comes with all the layers needed to cut and assemble into a 3D embellishment that can be placed on a card, package, a gift tag...you name it the options are unlimited

I wanted to add more sparkle without the mess, so I used this shaker box container and added tons of glitter inside.  This card measure 6x6 and I used October Afternoon Christmas paper from way back...lol I hold onto my favorite paper because once it sells out you won't be able to get anymore.
The sentiment comes from Magnolia Stamps.
So I am hoping that you have been inspired into "creating something handmade" because when you do it yourself it sure has more meaning.

Make sure and stop by the blog for even more inspiration from our amazing team and enter your beautiful creations for your chance to be a My Besties winner

xoxo, Deirdre
